MISSION IMPOSSIBLE TO FINAL MISSION RIDDIM produced by POWER HOUSE 1993
Mission Impossible To Final Mission Overview
In 1993, reggae fans were treated to a new roots drop that quickly became a favorite in dancehall sessions. The riddim was built from the ground up by the foundation builder at POWER HOUSE, a label known for shaping the reggae and dancehall sound in Jamaica since the late 1970s. Under the guidance of producer George Phang, POWER HOUSE had already made a name with hits for artists like Gregory Isaacs and Barrington Levy. Their production style was always crisp and full of energy, and this riddim was no exception. The journey started in the studio, where the percussion-heavy groove took shape. Soon, some of reggae’s most respected voices came on board. Al Campbell brought his smooth delivery to “Borderline” and “One A Way Soldier,” adding depth and soul. Conroy Smith, known for his hit “Dangerous,” lent his unique vocals to “Indian Lady.” Frankie Paul, often called the “Jamaican Stevie Wonder” and famous for “Sara,” contributed “Fp Love” to the project. Other legends joined in too. Freddy Mcgregor, whose song “Big Ship” is a reggae classic, recorded “Dont Hurt My Feelings.” Half Pint, celebrated for “Greetings,” added his unmistakable style. Each track carried the riddim’s signature sound, blending roots and dancehall for a fresh 1993 vibe. This release stands as a snapshot of reggae’s evolution during the early ‘90s.
