The Streetz keep Miss Independent Riddim tight and compact, a five-track dancehall set from January 20, 2014 that leans on a clean, direct groove rather than any big studio theatrics. Don Jah’eme opens with “When We A Party, ” Fa’real follows with the slick “Glam, ” and Frizzy leans into the title theme with “Miss Independent, ” giving the riddim its clearest identity. Zee Blacks’ “Keep It Up” finishes the vocal run with the kind of no-frills hustler energy that suits this kind of project, while the instrumental sits right in the middle as a reminder that the pattern itself does a lot of the talking. It’s a lean package, but The Streetz frame it like a proper dancehall showcase, with Frizzy’s cut leaving the last impression.
