Military Mind Riddim – Real Pagers Records

Out of Jamaica’s early-2014 dancehall stream, Military Mind Riddim comes in lean and militant, more like a quick-fire local juggling than a full-blown compilation. Real Pagers Records keeps the tracklist tight with just Skhoolaz’s “Militray Mindent” and Jahvan Pager’s “Ak Rifle Beat” riding the same instrumental, and that stripped-down setup gives the riddim a bare, war-ready edge instead of crowding it with voices. Compared with the bigger Real Pagers projects that followed, this one feels more like an early statement piece, a concise shot of the label’s hard, street-facing style. It also sits neatly beside their later riddims in the catalogue, where the name-pager crew kept circling back to gun talk, sharp drums and no-frills dancehall pressure.
