Main Link Riddim (2014) – New Elements Entertainment

New Elements Entertainment wasn’t exactly flooding the market with big, crowded rhythm packages here; Main Link Riddim is a lean 2014 dancehall set with just two vocal cuts and an instrumental, which leaves plenty of room for the groove to do the talking. Nevaramo’s “Cyaa Stop” is the sharpest pull on the release, riding a taut, stripped-back riddim that feels aimed squarely at sound systems, while I-Angel’s “Frenemy” adds a more melodic counterpoint without softening the edge. Ace Elements and DJ Aaron keep the instrumental in the mix too, so you get a clear read on the rhythm’s skeleton and how the vocals lock into it. The whole thing clocks in as a compact three-track drop, built around those two songs and the bare-bones version that ties it together.
