A terse little 2021 set from Three Lake Music, Lyrical Grenade Riddim lines up eight cuts and keeps the focus on raw dancehall pressure rather than any big crossover gloss. Benks Ez Boy, Chapboss, Deeno Jay, Jayryme, Mike Cee, Natural Flamez and Shellz MawdanBawd all take a pass over the same rhythm, and the instrumental sits at the centre like a bare-bones reference point. The production has that clipped, digital yard feel: drum machine snap up top, a tight bass pulse underneath, and just enough melodic movement to keep the verses propped up without softening the edge. “Keep It Real” and “Badness” fit the mood especially well, but the whole thing moves with a brisk, almost marching tempo that leaves the vocals to ride the pattern cleanly.
