Lost Files Riddim (2019) – Prime Time Music

Prime Time Music’s Lost Files Riddim feels a little less like a glossy showcase and more like a crate-digging dancehall set pulled from the rougher edge of the genre. Lutan Fyah’s “Better Than People” and Determine’s “Dweet” give it some of the strongest forward motion, while Sikka Rhymes turns up twice with “Rice Ah Steam” and a raw cut, a small but telling nod to how the riddim was being handled in the studio. Prime Time keeps the roster lean at seven tracks and six voices, which gives the project a tight, no-waste feel. The sequencing leans from sharper talkers into that double Sikka Rhymes close, so the release plays like a producer who knew exactly where the energy should land.
