Already by the time Busy Signal cuts into “Love Me Down, ” Lonely Road Riddim has that hard, rolling dancehall feel that Seanizzle does so well, with Dean Fraser’s presence on the instrumental giving it a little extra musical muscle underneath the street-level energy. Bugle’s “Dollar Mean Nothing” leans into the grim reality side of the set, while ZJ Liquid’s “Poor People A Feel It” keeps the focus on pressure and survival without losing the bounce. Topmann’s title cut fits the mood too, but the sharper pulls here are the Busy Signal and Bugle tunes, which give the riddim its spine. Released on 22 February 2019 through Seanizzle Records and S Lock Entertainment, the project landed as a tight seven-song dancehall run with no dead weight.
