LA LA BELLA RIDDIM produced by FLAMES RECORDS 2006
LA LA Bella Overview
In 2006, the LA LA Bella Riddim compilation made its mark in reggae sets across Jamaica and reggae-loving communities worldwide. This release brought together several respected artists, all performing over a warm, rootsy instrumental produced by FLAMES RECORDS. Aaron Silk contributed “The Right Path,” adding his smooth vocals and positive message. Aaron Silk is known for his connection to the reggae legacy, being the younger brother of the late Garnet Silk, a beloved reggae singer. Everton Blender, another standout on the compilation, delivered “Ghetto People Song.” Everton Blender is famous for his uplifting lyrics and hits like “Lift Up Your Head,” which reached audiences internationally and helped define 1990s roots reggae. Honey Comb performed “Hurt No More,” bringing a heartfelt touch to the riddim. The duo Lebanculah And Sugar Black offered “Oh Jah,” while Sugar Black And Lebanculah also appeared with “I Saw Selassie,” both songs reflecting spiritual themes. Little Kirk, well-known for his early start in reggae as a child star, contributed “God A Di Man.” His career includes the popular song “Ghetto People Broke,” which is loved in dancehall and reggae circles. The riddim was arranged and produced by FLAMES RECORDS, a label with a long history in reggae production. FLAMES RECORDS is led by producer Tony Rebel, who has played a key role in promoting roots reggae and organizing the annual Rebel Salute festival in Jamaica. The LA LA Bella Riddim stands as part of the strong roots sessions of 2006, keeping the classic reggae sound alive.
