Global Hit Riddim – Hits After Hits Records

Hits After Hits Records keeps the Global Hit Riddim moving in straight dancehall fashion, and the lineup has a nice spread of voices without overloading the ear: Troydon Bent opens with “Moment, ” Lady Lee “Queen Of D’South” leans into “Your Love, ” and Antonio Dilairo’s “Breaking Up” gives the set a more pointed edge. The riddim lands in that mid-tempo zone where the drums stay punchy and the bass does most of the talking, so the vocal cuts have room to breathe while still feeling made for the dance. Bushy’s “Mankind” and Muta King’s “Wul It” push the tougher side of the release, but the emotional lift comes late with Stanna Nittchie’s “Jah Protect Me, ” which gives the compilation its clearest anchor before Kevio, Raetigan and Don Vision close things out.
