Kumina Riddim has that dry, skippy dancehall swing with a ritual kind of pull to it, all sharp drums and a nagging bass line that keeps the whole thing moving like a yard session after dark. Free Flow Records leaves enough space in the rhythm for the artists to stamp their own style on it: Costus comes in smooth on “Da Way, ” Kyaci leans straight into the title cut, while Mad Boss, Prolla and Skankie Don keep the energy bouncing with tougher, more street-side hooks.
