Kuchtie Riddim – Gargamel Music

Warm, rootsy, and a little smoky, the Kuchtie riddim rides a relaxed mid-tempo groove with that early-2000s reggae warmth, letting the bass sit low while the skank keeps everything moving. Anthony John’s “You Won’t See Me Cry” leans into the heartbreak side of the pattern, Flourgan counters with the uplift of “Show More Love, ” and George Nooks teaming with Junior Mervin on “Police And Thief” gives the set its most familiar old-school pull.
