Kingston 6 Riddim lands in that sweet spot where Paolo Baldini Dubfiles’ clean, dubbed-out production meets a tight four-song vocal set, and the whole thing feels rooted in the same Kingston district that gave the project its name. Hempress Sativa’s “Boom (Wah Da Da Deng)” sets the tone with a militant lift, while King Kamptha’s title cut keeps the focus on the riddim itself; TJ and Juss I round out the package with “Herbsman Juggling” and “Never Get Me Down, ” both sitting neatly on Baldini’s warm bass-and-echo framework.
