Juk Up Juk Up Riddim (2008) – Vincy Music

In St. Vincent’s 2008 soca season, Vincy Music came with a compact five-cut Juk Up Juk Up set that keeps the focus on bounce and attitude rather than crowding the riddim with names. Esco gets the biggest spotlight here, turning up twice with both a clean and dirty take on “Juk Up Juk Up, ” while Dr Evil’s “Lady’s Toy” and Skinny’s “Hype” lean into the same cheeky, waist-moving energy. Slaugher’s “Slatfish” pushes the whole thing a little rougher on the dirty cut, which suits the raw, party-first feel of the production.
