Jounou Riddim – Teamfoxx

Jounou Riddim keeps the focus tight with nine cuts from seven artists, so it plays like a proper soca set rather than a scattershot compilation. Teamfoxx leans into a quick, punchy groove with enough bounce for the road but enough weight in the drums and bass to keep the rhythm moving after the hook lands. BlackBoy gets things moving early with “Give It All To Me, ” while Bossia doubles up with “Mark Lolo” and “Siddong Siddong, ” giving the riddim a couple of its most direct moments. D Boy’s “Shake Di Bumpa” and the trio cut “Show Me De Kitten” keep the energy high, and the closing “Woley Dah Dah” leaves the project on a playful, chant-heavy note.
