JON FX PRESENTS: DUBSTEP FUSION RIDDIM 2012

In 2012, when dancehall was still flirting with the heavier electronic edge, Jon Fx pushed that crossover idea right to the front with Dubstep Fusion Riddim. The five-cut set has a dark, skittering pulse under it, with the dubstep influence coming through in the wobble and the colder, more простор spacing around the drums rather than in any full-on genre switch. Gyptian’s “Take Me Away” is the name most people will clock first, and Faze’s “Party Animal” and Squaddy’s “Slow Wine” keep the energy moving in a more party-ready direction. Alty B and 5 Star fill out the run cleanly, and the instrumental identity stays tight enough that the last cut still feels part of the same late-night, bass-heavy mood.
