Jive Riddim – Chillspot Records

Jive Riddim by Chillspot Records landed in 2019 as a Zimdancehall dancehall set, gathering 12 voices around a tight, mid-length riddim run that moves from Nutty O’s Top Gena and Poptain’s Handimbokushungurudze to Hwinza, Boss Pumacol, Tally B and X Fire. The project was issued in June 2019 and runs just under half an hour, which keeps the energy compact while still giving the lineup room to flex across streetwise chants, melodic hooks and tougher party cuts. Chillspot Records has long been a major force in Zimbabwe’s dancehall scene, and this release fits that reputation with a clean, high-impact production style and a roster that mixes some of the scene’s biggest names with fast-rising voices.
