Jamrock International Riddim – L.A.S.N Records

Out of the 2013 dancehall crop, Jamrock International Riddim comes off as a Zimbabwe-connected juggling from L. A. S. N Records, with artists like Cmad, Ironman, Lisha T, Loud H and Nutty Proffesor voicing the rhythm in Shona-flavoured titles that give it a distinctly local stamp. There’s no long-winded concept here, just seven tracks and eight artists moving over the same cut, which keeps the sequence tight and focused on the different performances rather than any studio trickery. Cmad’s “Marukazi” and Ironman’s “Ndaizivei” sit near the front of the pack, while Kay C and Thunder Clap’s pairing on “Zvaunoita” adds a bit of extra push. L. A. S. N Records handled the production, and the release is listed as a 2013 dancehall riddim.
