The Jacqueline Riddim keeps its feet in roots reggae, with a warm, easy sway and enough low-end weight to carry the voices without crowding them out. Gaffa Blue Productions lines up veterans and younger names across eight cuts, and the strongest moments come from Dixie Peach’s “Ruff In The Gideon” and Earl Sixteen’s title track, which leans into the kind of old-school consciousness the rhythm seems made for. Cleon Williams and Errol Bellot add grit, while Imar Shepherd pushes a brighter message on “More Love and Unity. ” The closing cut, Mafia and Fluxy’s “Tribute To Hugh Mundell” featuring Patrixx Aba Ariginal, ties the whole thing back to a classic roots lineage and leaves the riddim on a respectful note.
