In 2017, the Island Girls Riddim was a big part of Carnival. This project brought a real island party feeling to the masquerades. The music was lively and made people want to dance. The riddim mixed soca with touches of dancehall and pop, giving it a fresh sound that worked well at any party. YTM Recordz produced the Island Girls Riddim. They are known for bringing out strong soca and dancehall tracks over the years, and their work always keeps the Carnival energy high. Mr Legz and Chanelle Adams teamed up for "Baby Don't Stop," which became a favorite for many. Mr Legz also worked with Springs on "How She Bawling," showing his energy and style. SHORTPREE delivered "Can't Understand," adding his own touch. Pupa Leendi brought a country vibe with "Country Gal." Superstar gave fans "One Way Ticket," a song that kept the crowd moving. SHORTPREE is well known in Grenada, especially for his hit "Victory," which won the 2018 Groovy Monarch title. YTM Recordz, the producer, has a history of supporting Caribbean music and helping new artists shine.
