Accordion Riddim rolls with a bright, melodic soca lilt that feels more breezy than bruising, all easy lift and island bounce rather than heavy pressure. YTM Recordz put it out in July 2015, and the eight-track set moves neatly between names like Lavaman, Problem Child and Fadda Fox, with “Till D Sunrise” catching an especially lively spark when Fadda Fox links with Problem Child. There’s a nice family feel to the lineup too, since Mr. Legz HT appears here as both artist and one of the men behind YTM Recordz, which gives the project a tight in-house edge. It’s the kind of riddim that comes in quick, smiles wide and gets out clean, with “D Date” setting the tone and “Loud Up” closing the circle.
