Insomnyah Riddim feels like one of those lean 2003 dancehall sets where the bare-bones lineup does the talking: just three cuts, all from the same corner, with Unity Indian handling the instrumental version as well as the riddim itself. Journey’s “Don’t Stop” gives the tune its most direct vocal push, while Vizion ft. Trini’s “Yamahai” adds a little extra colour around the edges and keeps the energy moving without crowding the rhythm. That spare approach suits the year too, when dancehall was leaning hard into stripped-down, tension-heavy productions rather than overloading every release with big names. It’s a short run, but the Insomnyah cut lands in that early-2000s pocket where the groove is the point and the version track matters just as much as the songs riding over it.
