“I’m Free” lands in that early-2010s dancehall pocket where the rhythm does the heavy lifting: crisp drums, a steady bounce, and enough space for the singers and deejays to cut through without crowding the mix. The line-up is strong in the way a good juggling should be, with Baby Cham’s “Gal Nuh Worry, ” Bounty Killer’s “Woman A Trail Me, ” and Sizzla’s “Comin After You” giving the riddim three very different shades of attitude. Delly Ranx and Jigsy King keep the energy moving in the middle, while Red Rose’s “Take It Easy” eases the pace just enough to reset the groove.
