In 2021, when roots revival and message-driven one-riddim sets were still carrying plenty of weight in reggae, Total Eclipse Entertainment lined up Hotta Fire Riddim Vol. 2 as a neat, conscious showcase with veteran voices and younger names sitting side by side. The strongest pull here is the cast: Teflon opens with “No Fear, ” Brigadier Jerry brings that old-school chant style on “Brigadier Control Dancehall, ” and Delly Ranks turns up twice, including “Watch Di Works” and “Love Like This. ” Christopher’s “I’m Missing You” adds a softer edge in the middle of the set, while the closing dub-style version keeps the production front and centre. At 16 tracks, the sequencing feels deliberate, moving from straight vocal cuts into the bare riddim finish.
