High Five Riddim – Rural Area Productions

Dry cuts. High Five Riddim keeps to a lean three-track dancehall set from Rural Area Productions, with Shack ft. Navino’s “Lose Your Girl” and D-Medz’s “Baby Mamma Drama” doing most of the heavy lifting while the title cut ties the whole thing together. Coming in around 2013, it has that uncluttered, street-level feel you expect from early-2010s juggling projects, more direct than flashy, and it’s the kind of release that sits comfortably beside the other compact dancehall drops in Rural Area’s catalogue. Navino’s presence gives it a little extra pull, especially on the Shack collaboration, but the riddim itself is really about economy: a quick, no-nonsense selection with just enough edge to keep it moving.
