Xpert Productions’ Hi Pumpmentz Riddim arrived in 2016 as a compact two-song soca set, featuring Hunter HD’s Insomnia and Mr. GoldN’s Start It. The release was issued on 12 August 2016 and clocks in at just six minutes, which gives it the feel of a tight promo-style package rather than a sprawling compilation. Hunter HD and Mr. GoldN carry the whole riddim, and Mr. GoldN’s name also appears as a recurring artist on later Xpert-linked projects. With only two cuts, the riddim is easy to recognize for its stripped-down format and its mid-2010s soca-to-dancehall crossover lean.
