Herbs Campaign Riddim Part 2 (2013) – Chrisville and Gacek Killah Records and Scrappers Records Edition

2013 was still a busy year for herb-themed dancehall, and Herbs Campaign Riddim Part 2 drops right into that lane with a compact seven-song run from Chrisville, Gacek Killah Records and Scrappers Records. The vibe is fairly raw and direct, with the artists leaning into roots talk and blunt relationship songs rather than glossy crossover moves. Firelamp’s “You Love Me” and Janyce’s “Rasta Woman” set the tone early, while Ras Bronx’s “End Of Time” and Ras Pryncple’s “Enough” push the message side a little harder. There’s a nice bit of contrast too, with M-Thang’s “Want You Back” and the Quadvoice and Alex T pairing on “Lier” keeping it grounded in straight-up dancehall tension. Short, tight, and very much of its moment, this one feels like a small-piece release from a year when riddim projects were still feeding the scene fast.
