HEAL THEM RIDDIM produced by EVIDENCE MUSIC 2016
Heal Them Overview
In 2016, a new reggae riddim began its journey in the studio, guided by the steady hand of EVIDENCE MUSIC. Known for their work as a Swiss reggae label and for building bridges between artists worldwide, EVIDENCE MUSIC shaped the Heal Them Riddim with a clear vision. The riddim was crafted to capture the spirit of roots reggae, with deep bass and percussion that called out to selectors and sound system crews. The roots selector played a key role, testing early versions of the riddim at local dances. The crowd’s response was instant—heads nodded, feet moved, and the energy grew. With this foundation, EVIDENCE MUSIC invited a select group of artists to voice the riddim. Micah Shemaiah, known for his powerful roots sound, stepped up with "Jah Love." His message of unity and faith flowed perfectly over the riddim’s groove. Brother Culture, a veteran MC with a long career in UK sound system culture, brought "Heal Them." His voice, familiar from collaborations with acts like Mungo’s Hi Fi, added authority and style. King Kong, remembered for his classic "He Was a Friend," delivered "Serious Time," reflecting his roots in the digital reggae era. Nello B added his own energy with "Tell Them Again," keeping the message strong. Mista Savona, an Australian producer respected for the Havana Meets Kingston project, contributed "Heal Them Riddim (Melodic…)," and teamed up with Little Lion Sound for another take.
