Real Records UK came into the dancehall space with Hardcore Riddim as a sharp, straight-ahead juggling anchored by a hard bounce, clipped horns, airy synth lines, and tight percussion. The rhythm has that mid-2010s street-festival pressure: rough enough for the dance, but cleanly mixed, with enough space for each voice to cut through. The cast is strong and very much in line with the tune’s title. Vershon’s “Whine Up” and Tommy Lee Sparta’s “Lolly Girl” bring the most obvious party energy, with Tommy’s menacing, gravel-edged delivery sitting nicely against the bright forward motion of the rhythm. D’Angel’s “Damage Goods” flips things toward flirtation and attitude, while Jah Vinci’s “Cheater” adds a smoother, melodic counterweight. Agent Sasco’s “Million Squat” gives the riddim some muscle and lyrical snap, and Josey Wales’ “How U Fi Come A Dance” links the project back to dancehall’s older deejay tradition. Innovata, 3 Star, RR, Shano, Singer J, and Tamo J help deepen the juggling, giving it a proper compilation feel rather than a stacked vanity project.

What makes Hardcore work is that it balances current dancehall names with artists who understand the dancefloor in different ways. It never gets too glossy or too trap-heavy; it stays tough, percussive, and built for voice after voice to ride it in sequence.
