The cuts sit in modern roots territory, but there’s enough warmth in the guitar, organ, and steady one-drop pulse to keep it from sounding stiff; the writing stays on familiar reggae ground too, with Chuck Fenda taking on struggle and injustice on “Dem A Try, ” Exco Levi bringing the love-song angle on “Love Tempo, ” and Ilements sounding especially locked in on “No Turning Back To The West. ” Lion Fiyah, Paapa Wastik, and Fyah Max keep the message positive and forward-moving, while the riddim cut itself closes things out in an unmastered form that feels more like a working band session than a polished studio package. Chuck Fenda’s “Dem A Try” is the one that lands with the most weight and sets the tone.
