Five cuts is enough to tell you this one wasn’t meant to feel overloaded; Grenie Trini Jab Riddim keeps the focus tight with Fireball, Leroy Gotti Thomas, Pappy Boi, Tallpree and Ziggy Ranking all working the same soca groove. Fox Fuse handled production in 2017, and the whole thing lands like a compact Grenada-flavoured jab session rather than a sprawling carnival compilation. Tallpree’s “Get On” is the name that keeps popping up, which makes sense given how naturally he sits in that lane. The sequencing moves from Fireball’s “We Dey” through to Ziggy Ranking’s “Wine Yuh Waist” in a clean, straight run, so the producer seems to have aimed for a set that builds momentum without drifting off the road.
