The title track from Kiddus I feels like the anchor, nodding to the older “Graduation in Zion” lineage while the rest of the set keeps the mood militant and reflective rather than glossy. Down Sound’s approach here sits closer to roots tradition than the more commercial dancehall work the label was known for around that period, and the presence of Roberto Sánchez and Nano Bravo points to the same dubwise, revival-minded sensibility.
