Grab It Up Riddim keeps the focus tight: three soca cuts from 2014, all riding the same Trumpet Sound Production framework. Miguel’s “Carry Up To Jesus” gives the set its most overt gospel lift, while O2dr aka Ordinary turns “Jesus Fi Mi Money” into a cheeky pocket of devotional money talk, the kind of crossover idea that sits comfortably inside soca’s party-and-praise lane. Young B and Hyer Dan close it out with “I Need You, ” and the whole thing plays like a small, curious snapshot of the era rather than a big-name showcase. Trumpet Sound doesn’t overload the arrangement, which leaves room for the hooks to land cleanly, and that spare approach is half the charm here, really.
