A gritty little set, this one leans into the mid-tempo dancehall pocket with enough room for each singer to carve out a different angle on the same lick. Tray Millen gets the clean-and-raw double dip on “Proper Sort Out, ” which tells you the producer had an ear for a tune that could move both radio-friendly and street-side versions without changing the mood. Jade’s “Fuck Nice” pushes the edge a bit harder, while Jervice Lyfe’s “Contack Sport” keeps the talk sly and chant-heavy. Coming from SHQ-1 Records in 2019, it sits neatly alongside the label’s other compact riddim drops: not overworked, not flashy, just a tight dancehall package with a few cuts that stick.
