Good Day Riddim (2017) – Precision Production

Bright and breezy, the Good Day Riddim keeps its focus tight with just three cuts, and that economy gives the release a neat little bounce. Precision Production leans into a clean 2017 soca feel rather than crowding the riddim with too many voices, so Bonified’s “Boost up the Fete” and Mr Legz’s “No Drama” do most of the heavy lifting while Luni Spark and Electrify’s “Around the Clock” keeps the energy moving in the middle. There’s a straightforward, party-first pulse here, but the arrangements leave enough room for the artists to shape the mood instead of just riding the same hook over and over. Mr Legz closes things with the sharpest edge, and “No Drama” leaves the last word hanging in the air like a tune already wired for road play.
