Go Easy Riddim – Mv Music

MV Music usually turns up with harder-edged dancehall sets, but Go Easy takes a lighter, more playful route, riding a bright mid-tempo groove that leaves plenty of space for the vocals to snap through. Famous Face’s “Naah Touch, ” Latty J’s “Teenie, ” and Mr Vegas on “Shake Up Your Bam Bam” give the riddim its shape, with Vegas’ “Bruk Bread” and QQ’s “Stay Suh” keeping the energy moving without overcrowding the cut. There’s a nice back-and-forth between radio and raw versions on a couple of tracks, which hints at how the rhythm can flex depending on the vocal style. It closes with War Lincoln’s “Lip Chat” and MV Music’s own instrumental, and that last version leaves the project sounding clean, spare, and ready for a selector to run it out.
