Ghetto Book Riddim – Deano Deann

Dimitri’s “Rise Again” gives Ghetto Book Riddim its strongest opening shot, and Deano Deann keeps the set compact with just six cuts in under 16 minutes, all released in March 2019. The production stays in a straightforward dancehall lane, with Jahiki pulling double duty on “Dead Like Dog” and “Money Nuff, ” while Krome Steel’s “Do Betta” and Sadike’s “Gal A Wine Up” keep the energy moving without crowding the riddim. Deano Deann also closes the package with the instrumental, which lets the pulse of the track sit on its own for a minute. But it’s Dimitri who leaves the sharpest mark here, because “Rise Again” sets the tone with the kind of direct, street-minded lift that gives the whole riddim its edge.
