Get Money Riddim – Various Artists

2004 was a busy year for reggae riddims leaning hard into street talk and party energy, and Get Money fits right into that moment with a no-frills juggling of eleven cuts from eleven different voices. Lava Man’s “Get Money” is the obvious anchor, all cash-chasing swagger and dancehall attitude, while Simma’s “Get She Own” and Spanish Fly’s “Drive By” push the set into rougher, more playful corners.
