Gathering Overview

Gathering Riddim is a reggae collection that came out in 1990. It was created in Jamaica, where reggae music has deep roots. The riddim brings together several artists who each add their own style to the classic reggae sound. Andrew Tosh, Charlie Chaplin, and Tamlins work together on the song “Rastafari.” Andrew Tosh is known as the son of reggae legend Peter Tosh and has made a name for himself with albums like “Original Man.” Charlie Chaplin, another respected artist, shines on “Dread Inna Babylon.” He is famous for his unique voice and for helping to shape the dancehall style in the 1980s. Clement Irie delivers “Tickle Mi Nerves,” bringing his playful energy to the project. Commander Shad appears twice, first with One And All on “Gathering,” and then solo on “Draw In Mi Chair.” Each track shows a different side of the riddim’s sound.
