I Ras and Honourable Antonio give Full Confidence Riddim its weight early, turning Uplivement Production’s 2015 dancehall juggling into a lean three-track set with no room for wasted motion. Wipeout’s “Somebody” keeps the energy direct, but it’s the I Ras and Honourable Antonio combination on “Rise Above Evil” that gives the release its sharper edge, with the vocal interplay pushing the tune beyond a standard one-riddim pass. Uplivement Production leave themselves space only for the instrumental, which lets the riddim’s bare bones do the talking and keeps the arrangement locked in that stern, mid-2010s dancehall pocket. The strongest impression comes from “Rise Above Evil, ” where I Ras sounds measured and Antonio cuts through with enough grit to make the whole thing linger after the last drop.
