Freestyle Overview

The story of the 2022 festival groove began in the studio, where the energy was high and the vision was clear. The studio hand played a key role, making sure every detail was just right, from the crispness of the drums to the layered melodies that would soon fill the streets. The producer, known for shaping some of the most memorable Carnival sounds, guided the process with experience and a sharp ear for what moves a crowd. This groove was built on the foundation of soca’s lively spirit, but it also pushed boundaries. The riddim was crafted to be both familiar and fresh, ready to ignite any celebration. When it came time to add voices, the team brought in two standout artists: GBMNutron and Viking Ding Dong. GBMNutron delivered “Ego Jam,” a track that quickly caught fire among fans. Already known for his breakout song “Calypso,” GBMNutron brought his signature style and energy to the project, turning “Ego Jam” into a must-play at fetes and road marches. Viking Ding Dong added his own flavor with “Kaiso,” bringing a spirited performance that matched the riddim’s vibrant pulse. Together, these songs turned the groove into more than just a beat—it became the sound of Carnival 2022.
