The sound of the Flatten Riddim was shaped by an island arranger who knew how to capture the joyful spirit of carnival. The arranger’s work gave each song a unique twist while keeping the riddim’s strong, danceable vibe. Studio 758 played a key role in the creation of the Flatten Riddim, producing the instrumental track that set the stage for the other songs. Their version, Studio 758 — Flatten Riddim, stands out for its crisp drums and lively brass. Three artists brought their own style to this riddim. Machel Montano, one of soca’s biggest names, delivered Machel Montano — Rough It Up. Montano is known for his high-energy performances and is a multiple-time winner of the International Soca Monarch competition. Skinny Fabulous, who is celebrated for his hit “Famalay” with Machel Montano and Bunji Garlin, contributed Skinny Fabulous — Flatten, adding his powerful voice and catchy hooks. Dyp joined the lineup with Dyp — Mad Party, giving the riddim a playful, party-filled feel.
