Back in 2021, when dancehall was still leaning hard on sleek club-ready riddims and quick-hit digital releases, DJ Kemstar’s Fi WI Lifestyle Riddim kept things lean with just four tracks and four voices. Aphro G’s “Fast Car” comes off like the immediate hook, all motion and attitude, while Tene’e’s “Everything Nice” brings a sweeter, more carefree pull to the set. Kautski Boss gets the uplift going on “Give Thanks, ” and Kemstar even cuts in with the title instrumental, which gives the project a clear backbone instead of treating the vocals like loose singles.
