Ex-Murder Riddim – Sunless

A stern, dark-tinged dancehall pull is what you get here, with Sunless lining up eight voices over the same menacing cut and keeping the mood focused on caution, pressure and survival. Taksik’s “Mother Love” and Shar-I’s “Weh Mi Come From” set the tone early, while Latty J’s “Time Will Tell” and Skorpioh’s “Nuh Trust Dem” push the riddim deeper into distrust-and-defence territory. It’s a compact set, no wasted space, and the writing leans into real-life lessons rather than slackness, which gives the whole thing a sharper edge. Kapi, Okonko and Kashabar each add their own angle, and Johnny Nash closes it out with “Fi Di People, ” a fitting last word for a project that keeps its message plain and heavy.
