Duck Dance Overview

Fans of dancehall and bashment music quickly embraced the Duck Dance Riddim project when it dropped in 2020. Selectors especially praised its bashment-ready tracks, which filled dance floors and sound system sessions across Jamaica and beyond. The project brought together some of the biggest names in dancehall. Bounty Killer’s “Dead This Time” stood out with his signature tough lyrics and commanding delivery. Bounty Killer is well known for his classic hit “Look,” and his influence on dancehall is massive. Chaka Demus added energy to the riddim with “Bad Chaka.” He is famous for his chart-topping work with Pliers, especially their hit “Murder She Wrote.” Daddy Lizard contributed “Dibi Dibi Girl,” bringing his unique vocal style to the mix. Lady Saw, known as the “Queen of Dancehall” and the first female DJ to win a Grammy Award, delivered “Strong Body Man,” a track that added a strong female voice to the riddim.
