A sharp-edged dancehall cut with a little tension in the groove, Drama Riddim leans into rude-boy energy rather than glossy polish, with Artikal’s “Risky, ” Quada’s “Well Bad Souja, ” and Kalex’s own “Jus Friends” giving the riddim its main push. The project is sequenced as a compact juggling with nine tracks and a pair of repeated explicit/non-explicit versions for some cuts, which gives it that raw 2017 mixtape feel without dragging the pace. Fuego featuring Kalex on “Visa, ” Casanova on “Action, ” and Stig Da Artist on “Fly To Jamaica” fill out the cast. Island. Wav and Kalex Productions handled the production, and the release came out in 2017.
