60 Mill Riddim (2017) – Ill-Matic Records

Six cuts and five voices keep 60 Mill Riddim moving with that compact dancehall pressure that was all over 2017, and Ill-Matic Records lets the lineup do the talking with Marly B twice on the board, plus Lively, Icylink, Night Hawk and Chapter each getting a turn. The title track, “60 Mill” with Wiseman in tow, feels like the obvious anchor, while “Ever Clean” and “Flow So Devine” lean into the kind of crisp, streetwise phrasing that sits well on a pared-back riddim; “In A Di Party” adds a looser late-night swing before Chapter closes things out with “Player Hater. ” It’s a small but tidy set, built around just enough variation to keep the groove from flattening, and the original release lists six tracks in total.
