Malibu Riddim arrived in 2017 from H2O Records, the label tied to ZJ Liquid, one of the most recognizable selectors-producers in modern Jamaican dancehall. By the time this juggling dropped, H2O had already built a reputation for sharp, radio-friendly riddims and club-ready material that moved easily between street dance energy and mainstream play.

The rhythm itself sits in a bright, rolling dancehall pocket with a clean digital shine and enough bounce for both DJs and dancers. It has that easy forward motion that makes a riddim feel active without getting cluttered, leaving room for the vocalists to push their own angles. The lineup is strong because it mixes veterans and current voices, and each one takes a slightly different route through the same groove.

I-Octane brings his familiar conscious patter and sturdy melodic phrasing, turning “Don Status” into a boast with discipline rather than excess. Tifa adds sharpness and attitude on “Gi U Likkle, ” while Bugle’s “People” steers toward social commentary, which has always been one of his strongest lanes.
