The Joy, also known as Do Some Good, is a 1996 Star Trail reggae riddim produced by Richard Bell. It brings together a strong mid-90s roots lineup with Sizzla’s Do Some Good, Anthony B’s Low Di Herb and The Joy, Everton Blender’s Just Wanna Be, Determine’s They Have No Love, and Derrick Lara’s Waan Touch Caan Touch among the better-known cuts. Josie Mel and Little Twitch also turn up on Wrong Line, giving the set a nice vocal balance. Star Trail was in a fruitful run at the time, and Bell’s production here keeps the riddim warm, steady, and firmly in roots territory.
