The project’s heartbeat was driven by CJ THE CHEMIST, a producer known for his sharp ear and creative energy. CJ THE CHEMIST has built a reputation in Jamaica’s music scene, working with both rising and established artists. He is the founder of Chemist Records, a label that has pushed many dancehall tracks onto local and international playlists. For this project, CJ THE CHEMIST wanted to blend the raw power of hardcore deejay lyrics with smooth, melodic singing. He used uptempo drum patterns and horn riffs to give the riddim its unique flavor. The result was a lively, street-ready sound that stood out in the busy 2018 dancehall landscape. The first standout track is “Dem Nuh Like We” by Noah Powa and Zj Liquid. Both artists bring strong energy and chemistry to the song. Noah Powa, known for his hit “Keep the Same Energy,” teams up with Zj Liquid, a popular selector and producer who has worked with many top dancehall names. Their combination on “Dem Nuh Like We” and its clean and raw versions made it a street favorite. Kranium steps in with “Turn Down The Lights.” Kranium is well known for his international hit “Nobody Has To Know,” and his smooth vocals bring a different vibe to the riddim.
