Sunset Blvd Riddim – Typhoon Music Group

Typhoon Music Group took a breezy, melodic turn on Sunset Blvd Riddim, leaning into polished dancehall rather than the harder-edged bashment you might expect from a name like that. The set landed in November 2012, and the strongest pull comes from the voices: Demarco’s “Pslam A Day, ” Voicemail’s “So Beautiful, ” and Chevaughn’s “Been So Long” give the rhythm its shape without crowding it. Matik’s “Keep It Burning” adds a bit of grit and purpose to the middle of the sequence, helped by the fact that the track was also pushed as a standalone single around the same time. With just six cuts and no wasted space, the tracklist feels ordered to move from sweet romance to harder pressure, then back out again, like a late-day cruise built for speakers, not clutter.
